Welcome to Sonoma Patio Company

We Bring Your Dream Patio to Life!

Your patio should not be mere eye candy on your property. It is an outdoor space where you, your family, and friends should spend time and create wonderful memories that you will cherish in years to come. If harmful UV rays, cold, or rain is pushing you to stay inside more, we can build you the perfect solution for those problems: a beautifully designed patio cover.
With its shade, you will be more compelled to stay and relax on your patio as you will be completely protected from the rain and sunlight. If it is too cold, we can also place heaters to ensure that you will have a comfy and cozy stay on your patio.
If you do not have a patio, why not let us build a gazebo instead? It is an immensely valuable addition to your home and can effectively raise its market value. Not to mention that it is an ideal space for couples to spend their date nights without the need to go out.
Another alternative is a simple pergola to shade you during summer days when you want to have a backyard barbeque. You can build your very own outdoor kitchen under it, which is a luxury in its own right. Or you can have one installed near your Zen garden and have a place where you can find respite and solitude when the going gets tough.
Whichever you choose, we are sure that we can provide it for you. You can rely on us to fabricate, build, and install the patio covers, pergolas, and gazebos you have always dreamed of!
We offer both residential and commercial services to residents and businesses in the northern Bay Area (Sonoma, Marin, and Napa County) and its close neighbors.

Creating High Quality Patio Settings in Sonoma, Marin and Napa County!

Unlike your kitchen, living room, or any indoor space, the patio is often the most underutilized space in a northern Californian’s property. It is not because it is visually unappealing or subject to unpleasant weather. It is simply because it does not have the appropriate cover.
As our neighbors down south enjoy sunny weather almost all year long, we have rains and near-freezing temperatures between December and February. And as much as you want to stay outside and enjoy your patio, a sudden drizzle can give you a cold.
A patio cover can shield you against the rain and prevent it from ruining your day or plans to enjoy time outside your home. Aside from this reason, patio covers also give other benefits:
●Placing pieces of furniture outside:
With a patio cover, you can take your favorite couch out without worrying that it will get wet or deteriorate because of the sun.
●Extend the life of your patio flooring or deck:
Even with a protective finish, floorings can still deteriorate because of ultraviolet rays, humidity, and water.
●Raise your property’s market value: P
patio cover seems like an additional expense, but know that it is a worthwhile investment as it improves your house’s aesthetic appeal and increased resale value.
●Expand your commercial space:
If you have an uncovered patio in your commercial establishment, you can cover and use it as a multipurpose space for your business.

Our Service

If you are looking for a way to improve your home’s value without spending too much, you should consider getting a patio, pergola, or gazebo on your property. Unlike constructing decks or remodeling your kitchen, you do not need to acquire permits or undergo inspections when building these outdoor structures on your property. And having one is as simple as hiring your local Santa Rosa patio, pergola, & gazebo builder!
Of course, to further increase the appeal of your patio, we recommend that you give it your own personal touch. Let us know if you want some customization done, and we will make sure that you will get it.
Our patios and pergolas last a long time in any weather conditions. After all, the weather in Santa Rosa can be pretty unpredictable at times. Your patio and pergola could be exposed to harsh sunlight today, and then rain will suddenly soak it the next day. This can speed up the degradation of the materials used in your patio and pergola, but we know how to make them last!
If you want something more involved than a patio or pergola, you can let us build a gazebo instead. If improving your house’s value is your priority, then it is a much better choice. Of course, expect that it will be costlier than a regular patio.
Call now to discuss how we can further improve your property’s value through the lovely patios, pergolas, and gazebos that we build and install!

Pergolas

Picture
If you do not have a patio but want to have space outdoors where you can rest or entertain yourself, you can opt to have a pergola. It is a simple outdoor structure that usually consists of four columns and a roofing grid. The columns and grid can be made of wood, stone, or aluminum.
A pergola is an inexpensive solution if you want to utilize some of your property’s empty area and convert it into a multipurpose space. With a pergola, you can turn that space into a carport, garden, outdoor kitchen, outdoor lounge, or even a sunroom.
Talking about pergolas can be confusing sometimes since it has many similarities to other outdoor structures. Here is a quick rundown of the other outdoor structures that are often mistaken as a pergola:
●Arbor: Arbors are also installed to give some shade and improve the aesthetics of your property. However, it has two distinct differences compared to pergolas. One, they are smaller. Two, they often have to bear curved arches as roofing.
●Gazebos: An outdoor lounge under a pergola can easily be confused with a gazebo. Note that gazebos always have closed roofing instead of the grid roofing of a pergola. Most gazebos are round (usually octagonal or hexagonal), while pergolas are typically rectangular or squarish.
●Carport: It is true that you can convert a pergola into a carport, but always remember that they are not one and the same. However, this will change since most carports nowadays built using a pergola as the support structure.
●Trellis/Lattice: Trellis and lattice are often smaller than pergolas, and they come in different forms and orientations. However, if you want to let vines and plants crawl on your pergola, there is no harm in calling it a trellis, especially if you will attach latticework on it to act as its walls.

Gazebos

Covered patios and pergolas are great, but if you want to get the complete package, we highly suggest that you choose a gazebo. They come in a variety of styles and designs and would fit well on your property.
They can be small, only fitting a tiny dining table or big enough to accommodate a live band. Gazebos can be as lavishly decorated or minimalistic; either will improve your property’s curb appeal and value.
And a gazebo is excellent to have if you have a restaurant or coffee shop as well. You can have a couple of gazebos made to act as small tea houses or have a large gazebo to serve as an outdoor function hall where birthdays and weddings can be held.
Aside from the built-in roof, it also has raised flooring. And as it is much sturdier than a patio or pergola, you can safely add an electricity and water connection into it.
Gazebos are also more durable than patios and pergolas. Once it is built, you will not need to worry about it anymore.
Of course, it has some cons as well. First, it is the most expensive choice. Second, you need someone to do it for you. Third, you need a large yard space to accommodate one and make it not look out of place.

Heating

In the north bay area, it is relatively cool throughout the year, with sudden heat waves during the summer and near-freezing temperatures during the winter. Staying outside can be chilly and can discourage you from enjoying your patio or gazebo.
Because of that, outdoor heating is a must. When it comes to outdoor heating, you have multiple options to choose from. Some of them are:
●Electric Patio Heaters: They are space heaters that you can use and leave in your patio or gazebo. All you need to do is to plug one in a power outlet and enjoy a warm and cozy time outside.
●Propane Patio Heater: Instead of electricity, they use propane. Compared to electric patio heaters, they can be bulky and should be treated as a permanent fixture outside your home. These heaters are excellent at regulating warm temperatures in open spaces, but they need frequent cleaning and maintenance. These heaters come in different forms, such as mushrooms and pyramids.
●Tabletop Heaters: There are propane and electric type models when it comes to tabletop heaters. They generate an impressive amount of heat and would be enough to warm you up if the temperature is 60 degrees and above.
●Electric Heat Lamps: They are ideal to use in roofed patios and gazebos. They can bump the temperature up if your electric or propane heater is not enough to get the job done.
When it comes to commercial outdoor heaters, you can count on us. After all, it can be tricky to install them and ensure that they will not be a danger to your clients and patrons. If you are not sure about what type and size of heaters you need for your business, do not hesitate to contact us to get some answers.

Lighting

Picture
There are two reasons why you should put some decorative lighting on your patio, pergola, or gazebo. First, lighting enables you to use these spaces at night. Second, having decorative lights amplifies the beauty of these outdoor structures and further improves your property's allure during night time.
